CERN-Solvay Education Programme
The CERN-Solvay Education Programme engaged thousands of high-school students from around the world with exciting education content related to the scientific activities conducted at CERN. Funded by the Belgian science company Solvay, the programme combined the unique advantages of both online and on-site learning at CERN. From 2022 to 2026, it aimed at triggering, fostering and building up the interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and in STEM careers among high-school students.
The programme has now been successfully completed, and discussions are currently underway regarding its future.
The content produced within the framework of the programme will remain available on this website. However, online course certificates are no longer issued, and no student camps are foreseen at this stage.
On this website, you can still explore the three levels that structured the programme.
- A collection of short videos for social media linking DIY experiments to CERN physics and technologies
- An online course for high-school students going beyond physics curricula to understand CERN physics and technologies
- Student camps that brought high-school students from around the world to CERN for a week-long immersive experience
